I have just recently taken up racing xc and now I am looking at buying a new predator. I am wanting to know if anyone has raced the Predator in XC races and how did it do?

Thanks for interpatation, I think the predator would be excellant for xc racing.I would check out the terrain and make some adjustments if I had to ,such as tires, skid plates, shocks or adjustments to shocks, those hand protectors, sprocket changes for low end or the other way if it were high speed riding. You could probably ride it stock and do pretty good because of the speed and handling. But it all depends on the track and the conditions.Good Luck

Since your already a honda man, check out 400ex and new 450R,but remember there is no reverse on any of these machines including the predator. You will definatly have a big power gain over the 300ex no matter what you buy. Let me know how you make out.

I am already racing my 400. My son is wanting to move up from the 300 ex and like a good father I am giving him my 4oo and looking at the predator. I am just wondering how it holds up racing xc.

hey, i have ridden my predator in some really rough xc races and it has held up very well..i am very suprised how durable it has been. i would greatly suggest rACing a predator in XC..for hot races be sure to get some radiator scoops and engine ice coolant so the engine doesnt overheat!

get you scoops from MODQUAD, he is a member here and you cannot beat his price. forget the engine ice, take a gallon of distilled water with 4oz. of redline's water weter, much cheaper and better results. just make sure you flush the entire system out, just draining the radiator and overflow will leave a-lot of coolant in the motor.

Modquad's website is http://jetblastgear.com/

any larger automotive performance shop or parts store should have it, if you have a murrays auto near you, they have it. you could also check there website for a dealer in you area. http://www.redlineoil.com/products.htm

It's usually between $7 and $8 a bottle, there is a few on ebay right now, but they screw you with the shipping.
