Being that I sold my '88 Honda Fourtrax 125, and my mom will only buy an automatic ATV. I'm left with 4 choices. It's between the Magnum 325 4x4 (top choice), Trail Boss 325, and the Arctic Cat 300 or 375 4x4. I really want a 4x4, so I'm trying to stay away from the Boss, but I'm not sure which of the 3 4x4s I want. I have a friend that has the 375, which blew out the head gasket within a month of purchase, other than that I know nothing about it. I've ridden the Magnum, but for the hills I climb, the 4 wheel drive system almost doesn't work hard enough. What features do the Arctic Cats have?

Why not a 500 Scrambler very good 4x4 plus not that much money, I really enjoy mine, especially in the snow which we have now where I am. Plus I like the sporty look.

Between the Magnum and the Arctic Cat, I'd get the Arctic Cat hands down. Why? Fully Independent Suspension. The 375 is gone so it'll either be the 300 or 400 if you're looking to buy a new one.

Check out ATV Action's latest comparison test of the 400cc-class utility quads. They had the Magnum 330 in there along with the Arctic Cat and other machines. The Magnum was pretty much dead last in everything.

Heck if you have to have a Polaris, why not look for an older Sportsman 335 or 400? It probably will be just as slow as the Magnum but at least you'd have a fully independent suspension.
