Hey Guys!!
Had a question about the Vortex CDI. First of all who all has it and can you notice any difference with it? Does it give you the revs that we all lack? Then, how about the installation of it, how difficult was it? Where can I order one from also? A lil insight on the installation would be greatly appreciated. Not a mechanic or anything just wondering if i will be able to assemble this CDI by myself. thanx in advance for anyone that replies!

It definetely helps with the revs, installation is very easy, 2 bolts to remove stock cdi and back in with new cdi, two screws to mount the switch on the handlebars, plus a couple zipties to fasten the wire from cdi to the handlebar. total time is about 10 minutes.

I just bought mine from HPD and I have not had a chance to mess with it. It has been raining for four days straight. It is a Vortex CDI but I chose HPD because they programed it to track tested curves and revs and if they find other curves that work better they will reprogram it free for a whole year. It looks like you need to install new valve springs ($64.95) for most of the settings, although you don't have to, but when you do all hell is supposed to break loose. I can't wait for the rain to stop.
