Im sick and tired of this Polaris crap, my pred was awesome up until the last month or so. First my front plastic cracked and broke, that was replaced under warrenty. Then i went riding and it was really muddy and the mud cracked my rear fenders and bent the rear plastic mounts. That same day I found out about the rear plastic..i see that my air box has broken out of the frame and cracked. So right now im pissed. I take it to the dealer to have that looked at and he takes pics and sents them in. So about a week later I'm cleaning up the pred and going over everything and i notice its REALLY REALLY low on oil....so im thinking maybe its been burning oil, so i put the oil in to get it up to level (almost a quart) and i start it up, it takes a while to start also. Once warmed up i start revving it and what do u know! Its smoking!! The last time i had run it was at night so i didnt notice it....so now the pred is down at the dealer and they are seeing what exactly is wrong. Im was very happy with this quad up until this all happened....i wish i would have waited a few months now for the yamaha or honda....i wish i could get a new pred and not a lemon this time or get the money i put into it back.

You can try an Armorall type spray to help the mud slide off. It's also a very good idea to use a product like this on your plastic...helps keep it flexible. I use 3M marine protectant available at any Walmart. If you overfill your oil tank, it feeds into the airbox, then sometimes it can migrate through the intake. Keep it in the safe range on the dipstick, not the full mark. It's not a lemon, they take some TLC to handle all the S H I T we put them through.

I have been filling it up in the safe range, but its smoking like a biatch. This airbox design is horrible, it has cost me 2 months of riding......this quad hasnt made a very good impression on me.
