everyone is gonna have a different opinion on this, your gonna have to make you own choice on this. I went with the FMF Ti4 pipe and think that without the quiet core it is loud as all hell, but it also rocks power wise - james

I agree with the jeepman, I also have the Ti4. It is loud but has awesome power. I can easily outrun two buddies of mine who both have the white bros pipes. If you ride anywhere that has db limits get the quiet core.

Well I do'nt agree with with any can, just open the end cap on it, 2" will do it. The dyno on my mach showed that it was only 1 1/2 H.P. off from the W/B pipe. Yes less, but for a cheap mod I'LL live with it.

Your preference on the pipe, they are all pretty good. From what I have seen and heard they are all waaaaay louder than stock. I have the HMF, I'm pretty happy with it. The pure Polaris (White Bros) pipe is also good. Personally I just don't like messing with the discs. I have had good luck with Pro Circuit and FMF I just haven't ridden A Predator with those pipes on it, yet.

That is what every pipe maker I've talked to has said, that the stock header flows better than it needs to even for for pretty heavily modified mahines. Really the only reason to get one would be looks.

Go with the FMF Ti4 or the HMF and you will be happy. Avoid the systems with discs if you want real power from top to bottom. Mine will pull the front end all the way up in third with just a slight pull of the bars.

the w/b system with the disks make more power through the rpms than the straight through designs out there, pipes like the hmf may rev a slight bit quicker because of the loss of backpressure, but you loose the bottom end torque.

i'm in the process of looking for a good pipe too

and from what ive read in the forum the w/b pipe seems to be the best,
i know thats what im going to get

i just need to get a little more $$

i think i might wait for the new e2 series
i just hope its not too much money
with my luck by the time i have enough money they'll have an e3
and then ill have to save more for that

Backpressure robs power, it does not make it. Disc type systems do not flow well, they make decent power on the bottom end be cause they create a vacuum, this is the opposite of back pressure. But they only create a vacuum on the very low and seldom used rpms. After this they create back pressure and as we discussed earlier this robs power. That is why almost all pipe makers have gotten away from discs, as white bros is in the process of doing with it's new e2. Look at the Z400 pipe shootout at dirtwheels website. The Z400 and the Predator are very simular bike, higher compression, high revving, free breathing machines. Look at the dynographs, the FMF Ti4 and HMF make better power top to bottom than the white bros. Its easy to see, just look.
