Hi guy's me agian.I went riding today and rode a little harder than my previous outing and when I cleaned the bike up I noticed that the paint on the welds on the swing-arm (housing) was cracked and flaking off I looked for stress fractures but I couldn't see any but the paint chipping off means that there was some stress there in order for it to flake off. There was also flaking on the two bolts (welds) that hold the rear axel on the swing-arm.What gets me is that it's only on the welded joints.I'm a pretty big guy 6'2" 260 or so and I did a lot of trail riding today but this was only my second time really riding the bike and I really didn't ride the piss out of it because I'm still getting use to it.I'm a little worried and thought that I would post my problem here because you guy's know a lot about this bike,so let me know what you guy's think and hopefully it's no big deal and I can rest a little easier.

That's pretty cool, I took another look at the stress cracks in the paint and i'm not totally sure but i think they got just a little bigger than they were before, theres probably no cause for alarm, but then again it might end up being a recall, you never know.

Well I called my dealer today and he told me to bring it in so that they can take a look at it.I'm just curious but I think that there is a problem because this bike has only around 5-7 hours on it i'm only on my 2nd tank of gas for that matter so I'll let you guy's know what's the low down.

I was told that the paint doesn't always stick to the welds so good thats why it's flaking off.I checked them and found that they weren't cracked (thank god)and that it was only the paint that had flaked off.

Had my Predator at the dealer this week to look at the welds on the rear axles. They said that they checked them very closely and there were not any cracks. What Polaris think happen is that there was air bubbles in the paint. They are going to put some more paint on them and I’m going to keep a eye on it.
