When I changed out my swingarm, I found there are a couple of snap rings that need to be removed to get the brake caliper brackets, etc. off. Once those are removed, then loosen the bolts on the carrier and it slips right out.
Removal: remove brake side rear hub, then the brake caliper, then the chain, then turn the axle nut counter clockwise until you see the retaining clip (you have to loosen the hex head on the axle nut 1st to turn it), then remove the clip, , then remove the brake rotor, then unscrew the axle nut, then you will need a large pair of circlip pliers to remove the large retaining ring and caliper bracket, then under that there will be a o ring you need to take off, then loosen concentric clamp bolts (the ones on the swingarm), slide the axle out. installation is just removal backwards.
