a friend ofmine i talked to today told me that when he dragracessome one he takes off the top of his air box ... Can i do that with my pred will that help me any will it hurt anything???? i also know ofsome people that drilled holes in the top of their air bow is that a good idea ??

I think if youtake airbox lid off your filter is exposed te predator is not like the honda. i don`t know where you would put a filter. if you drill holes drill the in back of airbox not on top.Drill them below where the filter gos.or you can try it with the snorkel off and see if that changes anything.Put an outerwears cover over the opening where the snorkel was.

Since the Predator's air intake draws air in from under the lid, removing the lid would be a bad idea.

Some people are removing the lid and using a clamp-on air filter. Doing this requires some pretty major jetting changes. I tried this myself and while it does seem to make a difference, I may go back to the lid/drop-in filter for a while as I do some other experimentation.
