Hi I would like to know if there any way you can tell if you're running to rich without removing the spark plug.Going through all that stuff to check the plug bums me out.The reason that I ask is before I rejetted I would start my bike in the garage and let it warm up before I loaded it up and there was no black spot on the wall behind the bike ,but now there is.Could this be from the bike running to rich.I had problems with it popping but it seems to run fine after it warms up it's not getting to the limiter in 4th or 5th so I thought that I would shoot this one out there to see what the possible fix would be.Please don't say to call Gary I just want to know if any one else has had this happen and how did they remedy the problem.I know that this jetting deal is really a pain in the u-know-what.Thanks

The best way is to check the plug, it might be a pain is the ass to get to, but it's better to be sure than to guess on your jetting. If you were lean and caused major damage to your engine, you would not be happy with the repair costs on a 4 stroke, take the 10 minutes and pull the tank and check the plug, you'll be safest that way.

I'll second that. Once you get the routine down for making the quad basically "naked" it's not too bad. I always keep a golf-tee with so you minimalize the amount of fuel flowing back from the pump.

So guy's what am I looking for.I mean what color should the plug be and how exactly am I suppose to do these runs.I've heard to let it warm up then run it to the limiter in 4th then shut it off then check the plug.I really haven't got a clue and need help.I want to try and do this this weekend so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Pulled the tank off and checked the plug, black and full of carbon.I was hoping for a lighter coler but I guess that that's asking to much, any ways I ordered some spark plugs because I know that I'm going to need them I just hope that I can get this thing dialed in before I use up the entire case.I'm thinking that once a plug is fouled it cant be used again,am I correct or am I wrong. Also if it has any color to it can it be used again.I greatly appreciate any help from the entire predator crew.Thanks.

If its to rich it will it run like **** before it bumps the rev limiter... back up one jet size and you should be good to go but, its always best to look at the plug for color!

thanks guy's I tried finding the plugs for this thing and no one had them so I ordered them and they will be here monday,as for everything else it's been a p.i.t.a. I got the bike apart and found that the bracket that holds the front plastic to the side of the tank was broken off that bumed me out for awhile thinking what else is going to happen to this thing but all in all I'm doing fine just wished that someone would've had the plugs so that I could get this thing jetted. At least it's not a raptor
