I have looked for awhile now and i cannot find a cam for the predator i was looking on hps website and it says when using there pistons to use a certain cam but i have not been able to find the cam,does anyone know were i can find them and about what the price is.

I have just ordered my CDI and the valve springs, big bore piston and gaskets and spark plug. Daryl (the owner of HPD) said that it means if you want to put the cams in it, the other stuff will be able to handle it. It does not mean you have to get it. Thank God, because the cams that I have seen are more than $300 each (intake and exhaust) but, like everything else, I'm sure I'll think I have to get it to.

Webcamshafts.com has a profile for the Predator. It is $375 for both. You need to send in yours or pay a $375 core though. Anyone have this? HPD says putting on a higherlift cam is like the difference a pipe made. This could be quite large.

HPD has been waiting on a new camshaft manufacturing process. It will be capable of setting the industry standard not only for performance, but for durability. The waiting is what sucks.

I dont really see a reason yet to buy cams, from what hpd says the stock cam makes power to 9700 and the rev limiter on there vortec is 10200.cams are usally give more top end power by adding more duration but yet you start losing torque on the bottom, i thank thats why its taking along time to desigh a cam that works as well as the stock cams do.I will be one of the first in line to buy as sone theres a good cam profile.
