My dealer sold me OW/40. They said that this was what they put in it. Is this the right oil or should I be using PS-4. Also the mechanic told me to put 3.2 quarts in and the book says 2. How much do you guys put in during a complete oil change?

I called the dealership and asked them why they sold me OW/40 and they told me that it was because PS-4 is on backorder. I asked him the difference between the two and he said he would need to call polaris. does anyone know if this is ok to use? thanks....

My dealer told me not to use anything but PS-4. I would call Polaris myself and ask!

ps4 oil is wet sump 0w-40 oil, nothing else special about it. I switched to 10w-40 amsoil. Just because the dealer was raping the hell out of me.

I also run the amsoil, but I use the 0W40. It was too hard to find the ps-4 oil in my area. It seems to shift smoother with the amsoil also.

I run Castrol Act-Evo 10W40, works fine for me. I use the same stuff in all of my quads. I see no point in paying extra for the Polaris stuff.
