Alright im going to the dunes in a week and i need to know my pred is stock with a K&N will i be ok in the sand with regular tires and stock gearing?

You will be OK. If you want to improve your performance you can change your gearing to 13/38 which is optimum for sand. If you dont, you will not be able to take off in 2nd for races which puts you at a disadvantage. at a minimum you should make the front sprocket a 13.
