This weeekend I went to visit a friend in Prescott Valley, AZ whom is also a fellow predator owner. We decided to go to Cinder Hills up by Flagstaff and have some fun on the 4th of July. We could climb just about every hill there except Million Dollar hill.. Anyone know what I'm talking about? My predator has the 13/38 gears, Stage 3 Jet Kit, Pure Polaris Pipe, and the K&N slip on air filter. The bike was running good as you could get it for freaking almost 8000 ft elevation. What will it take to get up million dollar hill? Raptors and Z400's were running up about 1/4 of the way and with a predator, mine and my buddies would go about half way and that was it. I want to see a bad ass 4 stroke go over the hill, not the wang banger banshee's. We were running 8 paddle sand devils (easily afford to tear them up in the rocks). 3rd gear wouldn't pull very far and you just constantly loose speed in second til you half to turn around. What's some ideas. I was a turbo kit for sale, or maybe nitrous, hitting a 50 hp shot in 3rd ought to throw some rocks or engine parts... I'm open to suggestions. Here at home, elevation is only 500 ft above sea level. Here, I think mine would climb it in 3rd, or maybe 4th. Thanks

I don't suppose you have a photo of this hill? How tall is it? Do you know how steep it is (degrees)?

Part of the problem is the elevation is robbing your power. Did you rejet specifically for the elevation? That'd help, for sure, but I doubt it'd get you over the top if you're only getting halfway up.

The steepest thing I've been up is The Wall at Sand Mountain in Nevada. It's a part of the mountain that is 65 degrees steep (approx) and 600' high. I start in third, drop to 2nd about 1/4 of the way up and stay there all the way to the top. My friend's Banshee with TR6 pipes doesn't beat me by more than maybe three lengths. I'm also running 13/38. Or rather, I was... I just put on a 39 not even an hour ago. :)

I'm not exactly sure of the elevation of Million Dollar hill. The only thing that was making it to the top that I saw was a couple tricked out 250R's and a few banshee's that had more invested than that of a newer truck. A couple Raptors were trying their luck and they'd make it up about half the distance the predator's were getting. Yes, they were rejetted for the elevation. I've got a pic I'll put on here sometime. I was about a 1/4 of a mile away and I took a pic of a sandrail trying to climb up it. From the height and the distance, it looks like a tiny kid 4 wheeler on it. It's the largest hill that you can ride up at Cinder Hills... Anyone else been there and know what I'm talking about?? If so, do you know the size and elevation changes?? Thanks
