hello i just got a sevice manual for the pred. i was looking a a carb diagram and realized when i jetted my atv i was missing a part. the main jet threads in to the jet holder but the diagram shows a ring between them. i know when i was in other mikuni carbs they had them but at any rate my carb did not! i also was shafted to because the jet was a 142.5(must have been build for higher altitude). any how it seems to run fine with out it. anyone have any input? do i really need it, is it robbin' power, or what?
ps i am running a 160 jet w/ a hmf pipe & k&n drop in filter
on second thought maybe its there but threaded into place instead of held in place by the main jet like the raptor was. i guess i better take it apart and double check before i get excited!

runs like a raped ape! no popping at all. it does find the redline sooner which took a few rides to get used to. thats why i cant wait for a good after market cdi box.

I think that's about the bes bang for our buck right now. I guess it's time to move on it. CMC did it help the bottom end any?
