I recently bought a 2003 Sportsman 400...Is it necessary to grease ALL of the zerk fittings after every hunting season(Nov.-Jan.)if I don't intend to cross creeks or heavy water...mostly stay on logging trails?..Thanks for any input...

Make sure you use a good quality grease, Polaris Premium all Season Grease or grease conforming to NLGI No. 2, such as Conoco Superlube M or Mobilegrease Special.

Polaris recommends every 3 months or 50 hours but thats under ideal conditions and I wouldn't wait that long. Its not reccomeded to mix grease types either so stick to the one you choose.

I like Marine grade NLGI No. 2, i use the Pensiol $3.33 at Walmart.
