O.K. I have ordered my new FMF power bomb header and PowerCore 4 Muffler. Now, what appears to be the best intake kit? HSP, Hardrock, Rath, etc? Maybe I should just go with up sizing the main jet and use a drop in filter? I would love to hear some feedback.

The cheapest option is a clamp on K&N.

I haven't had the chance to to test as much as I like, but it has given the bike a lot more bottom end. When I first when out with it I was heading through a section of trail that I ride all the time. With the increase bottom end I had to adjust my riding style and stay a little more on the front end because it wanted to lift a lot easier. This time it lifted sent me off the track and into a stump...a week and one lower A-Arm later I'm keeping the clamp-on.

There's a post on cheap air box mods. You might try a search. I can'nt remember the post. Someone help, I had already done this to my mach. And it's sure works a hell of a lot better than a clamp on. It's a no-wet setup, you can always put the stock air box back on if deep water running. 20 mins at most.
This will be the best air mix settup you can do. Well almost.

i got the hard rock and am happy with it. seems to have a lot more power, wish i had a dyno for real #s. anyway, it gives you more air without the problems of water entering the system with the slip on. looks good too - james

Thanks guys, anyone use Fourstroke Techs set up? I'm looking for all feedback. I too like the HSP set-up. They use the air box and crank case breather tube. I'm thinking this one might the most weel disigned unit out so far.

Hard Rocks Intake is a great product. I think this air box has the best fit and finish. Jeepman they have there new stage 3 kit almost done it is going to be insane. I havent had enough money to buy there scoops because I want the air brush design. They ruled at Sand Fest. If anyone has a young kid coming up check out there 90cc predator it has nitro.

Just an update, I spoke with Chris from Hard Rock Motor Sports and what an informative guy. He told me the airbox kit from them is flow benched so it will make the proper negative pressure needed to operate the slide correctly. He also mentioned that the web site should be updated some today. They sound like great people and I ordered the mod based on info and his support.

Does the Hard Rock kit do the same as the Superbike Shop kit and cut holes in the airbox, then use a foam type filter and a plate to cover the holes?
