I know I could just call HPD but I don't think they're open. If I bought the high compression piston from them, could I just put it right in or do I need some other modifications to the cylinder/sleeve?? I want to make this my next project once it starts to get cold outside... get a service manual and take the engine apart...

Thanks

The cylinder should be lightly honed to seat the new rings. Check the ring end gaps and piston to cylinder clearence, rejet carb as needed...

You'll have to call HPD on this one. There's no way a regular part store honed will work on this cylinder. To hard, but Darrell did say that if the cylinder was'nt to polished, you could just drop the new piston and rings in.
