can someone post a step by step to re-jet the carb? I have my clamp on filter in the mail and would appreciate it if someone could help talk trough how to rejet, i have the general idea i think, but before i rip apart my carb id like to have someone who knows tell me what to do.

Its not too difficult, but honestly the easiest thing to do is go purchase a service manual from your dealer. It shows how to do it and tells what tools you need and such.

shut the gas off. pull every thing of the carb. the pred carb is a little wierd because on the choke style, but unscrew the hole choke assembly off of it. the take the carb out. take the float bowl (on the bottom) unscrew the jet with the shield around it and put a new on in. u just kind of figure it out. thats what i did.

where is the jet located and all that? thats the part that scares me most pulling things not knowing what im opening up, misht jsut have to break down and get the manual from my louzy dealer next door

the jet is in the bottom of the carb. in the float bowl.

I wrote up some steps for jetting the predator carburetor. email me at [email protected] and I will send them to you. Its to long and detailed to post here. I don't want to take up that much space on this topic. I don't have my manual here at work or I would have added pictures and diagrams to these steps. I can send you a revised edition with graphics in a couple of days if you need it.
