I have it installed but I do not have a pic at the time. Just installed it a couple of days ago. It comes with a billet adapther that clamps to the intake hose and the over-sized filter clamps to the billet piece. The airbox cover no-longer fits. I think I am going to remove the entire airbox altogether. Haven't really had a chance to test it out yet.
Sorry for the slow response. You have to drill a small hole in the intake hose and bolt it to a cross bar that runs just in front of your air box. There is already a pre drilled hole in the the cross bar. It doesn't move around when riding. The kit comes with instructions on how to install and mount everything. The whole setup only took me about 15 - 20 minutes to install. It was pretty easy. It looks pretty cool too.
Ok....I don't want to be too critical, but is there actually a bolt or nut in the intake after the filter? Eeek. I'm getting the shakes just thinking about it. As bad as this bike is on shaking bolts loose.
I don't think I would like to hear those funny noises. There has got to be a better way of securing it. I am going up to Little Sahara today and I am a little nervious about that bolt now. It is pretty tight though.
Hey Sand9000 how about a pic of the setup installed and perhaps a part # for the filter too cause I'm pretty sure my machinst can make the adapter plate that is needed to make this setup and if so I can save us all a whole lot of $$$$!!!!!!
Check out the post I made titled cheap airbox mod. It's almost the same basic design as the hot seat and cost me about $20, not counting the filter. I also put some pics in my profile.
