Hi, this is my first time on this board. Just got back from racing my Predator for my third national cross country race. I am having continuous problems with overheating and just found out today according to other Predator owners that my fan must be wired wrong because it is blowing toward the radiator. I am having a blast on it anyway but would love to finish a race strong. I had to pit four times today and lost too much time to get in my last lap. That beast is one heck of a hill climber! Loved it going up the steeper stuff at Steele Creek in the NC mountains. Any other racers on here? Hello to everyone! Look forward to finding out more about my new machine! Angela

Hi Angela, good to hear your still at it. I read a while back where Mickey said you were racing the Predator this year, keep us informed on how your doing.

The fan definitely needs to pull air thru the radiator, you might also add airscoops (PRM and others) if you don't already have them. You may want to add a mud screen a few inches in front of the radiator to keep the fins from getting clogged. Water Wetter mixed with distilled water in the cooling system will also help, just don't let it freeze up in colder temps.

Good luck to you!!!

I'm Wesley Fruits (#203) and race a Predator in the 4 stroke stock class and we also went to the North Carolina GNCC race. I finally had an excellent race with the "Predator!" After such bad luck in Flordia and Georgia I think we finally have all the bugs worked out! I finished 2nd in the 4 Stroke Stock class and 3rd over all in the morning race. Didn't you see me on the podum? I started pretty bad, near last, and worked my way up and if I'd had an extra lap I think I could have been 1st and 1st over all but that's the next race!!! Ha The only problem I had, and I didn't find out until after the race was my plastic doesn't hold up as well. My left fender is completely gone and the right is cracked, but if that is all I have to worry about than I guess that is a good problem to have! Can't wait till South Carolina and I'll see you there! Wesley

To anyone with a Predator,

I was at the NC GNCC race where I made my first race on my Predator. Not had a great deal of luck with it since I'd bought it...continues at NC. Anyway, my biggest question now that I've actually had it on the track is: does anyone have problems with the handling of it? I pulled 4th off the line and into the woods, I got in the ruts near the creek and it pulled me right out and nailed a tree head on. After backing off and getting my things back together I checked over the bike, all looked good but the plastic (very poor design) and the front bumper. Hit right on the front grab bar. The bike rides great up/down hill, on flat land and other areas...BUT in the ruts (where a lot of GNCC races are), this thing is very hard to control. I've rode/raced a 400 since they came out, it handles great compared to this thing? Has anyone had similar problems and if so what has anyone done. Could it just be that its 4" wider in the front. I'm not sure about it, maybe side bite on the tires, something in the steering or soemthing. Just not happy with the way it ride right now. I realize that 4" in the front is a lot, but I hope its not going to completely over power the handling through the woods.

One other thing is the seat, anyone else notice a pretty hard spot near the mid section? Somewhat uncomfortable...

Any input would be apprecitated...
