I was kidding around as I have owned Sparks motors and they are great. I just find it funny when these guys talk big gains and in reality; four stroke modifications can be very ungratifying in my opinion. You really don't get much for your money. Now a two-stroke is where the dollar per H.P. issue is a good one. A good set of Banshee pipes give more gain than most 4 strokes get all modded out. Why not appreciate the Predator for what a great machine it is stock? Oil coolers, inline water coolers, radiator fins...etc...and Rath won all those events without any of these add ons. The marketing hype is getting to you guys and the aftermarket companies are dependant on that fact. Over 30 yrs. or racing and riding have shown me how the market works in this sport. The very technology that won races years ago still pops up in adds in mags today as a "New" break through. Look at the insurgence of powervalve motors today. Gee; they were around in the 70's! Gotta love the "swirled" combustion domes! How long before someone buys into another "Roost Boost" for four strokes? When you've spent thousands of dollars on mods; I challenge you to race a stock Pred. in 300 ft. drags. By how much did you win? Was it worth it? Did the cooler oil gain you a tenth? How about the radiator shrowds? Don't forget to add those Splitfire plugs! In all seriousness; buy the Pred for the machine it is and give it life without surgery. Bigger bores, cams, porting, etc... will only shorten the life span of that motor and cause you down time when you could be riding. I have been one of the victims of this HP bug in the past and you end up with an unreliable mess that isn't very trailable. Just a word to the wise..."I in no way represent my opinions." Hehehe
