I was wondering what the frame is made out of? Is it just regular steel? If so, then many of the frame, peg and bulkhead problems could be fixed with a MIG welder.

sure looks that way, it's not aluminum, titanium, or any other exotic metal, so a mig should work just fine for repairs - james

if you are a skilled weldor than you should heli-arc the frame.
