I haven't done any mods yet and thinking of flat slide carb with K&N air filter connected directly to the carb and White Bros Slip-on. I don't plan on doing anything else to the engine. What suggestions do you guys have for size, manufacturers, concerns etc...?

Are you thinking about a flat slide pumper? Slip-ons air breathers (my 2cents) are a POS pull your seat off, and with the mach running give it some hard gas. You'll see the air box moving in and out. Smaller/Larger thats what a tune air box should do. Look at the ribs on the intake tube when your gasing it. Yea they are moving. Thats why they are there. If you want to put on a slip-on you still can. Hell it's not my mach. And yes you can add extra holes in the box and it still moves in and out. How many or how big? That up to you, I was thinking about putting a K&N type of slip-on thur Summit. For a camaro/firebird that would work and jet right. But at 204.95 I'm not rich, part num KNN-57-3022 or KNN-57-3020. Sorry for the long post. I'm sure to get Sh*t on this but like I said it's my (2 cents)

On the white Bros- slip-on, I'm still waiting for better numbers to come in. Not just what a company will post. I'm talking a independent co/person to post the true numbers. I would say from reading everything on this pipe system. That the header pipe can'nt be greatly improve on. I'm still waiting for someone to take measurements on the stock head pipe. Inside/ouside to compare to the after market pipe, ect. My (2 cents) is to open the end cap up. You normaly get the biggest bang for the buck with a new head pipe. Not the can,not unless your out for looks only.
