Thats what i am hearing. I dont think anyone has headpipes out yet. As always with a new quad you have to be patient with all the new mods.

Im planning on making quite a few phone calls friday morning and find out what companies are developing exhaust for the Predator. If available, Im gonna ask them to pass along actual dyno sheets to me. Ill let you know what I find out.

I bought my predator about a month ago from Cycle Town South. They installed the Pure Polaris muffler made by White Brothers. They said that it made a noticable improvement on two previous quads they had sold. This info is confirmed by a test in Dirt Wheels last month with a Rath Racing? Predator. They claimed a 6hp boost, (if you can believe Dirt Wheels). The tip configuration in the article is different from the muffler they sold me. The dealer also told me that White Bros is selling a headpipe which will make an even bigger difference but will require re-jetting. I didn't ride a quad without the slip on muffler, but mine runs great with it.

When Stephy posted that, she had a fax in her hands from Polaris stating that it was in fact cancelled.

If it's uncancelled, then I'd like to see another fax. :)

HMF out of Ohio said they tried creating a header and were unable to create any more horsepower with there headers over the factory headers. The guy there told me they tried 3 different designs. Right know there just suggesting a slip on with a 155 jet. They actually had advertised a full system but for right now reconsidered. www.hmfengineering.com

My dealer called Polaris again less than a week ago to follow up on the header, and they re-confirmed that it is in fact CANCELLED. It was NOT delayed.

4 Things I know....

#4.) BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires make a huge difference on a 4x4 truck in the mud

#3.) ITP 589MS Tires make an even bigger difference on a Grizzly - I can go through stuff in 2wd that I used to get stuck in 4wd

#2.) The Predator is a great ATV

#1.) The Pure Polaris aftermarket pipe for the Predator is amazing - I cannot believe the difference it made. It sounds cool and will throw you right off the back - even my big rear end!!!

Trinity Racing makes outstanding products. I only speak from 2-stroke experience. If the header and silencer they have developed for the Predator is anything like their 2-stroke header and silencers then i may switch from the White Bros. to the Trinity exhaust. Also, i noticed on Rocky Mountain ATV site they have a Big Gun full exhaust for sale. Not sure about this product. I am a new 4-stroke ATV owner so i am not familiar with all the products yet.

Does anyone know the official db level of the Predator with the Pure Polaris exhaust? California has a law and they are checking now at the riding areas.

kev, i don't have one (i have a hmf), but i know it uses tuning disc. so it's hard to say how loud it is until you have it set up for your pred. the amount of disc used affects the sound level.

You can make the W/B pipe real quite if you put in the quite core, and it can be loud, it is an all around good pipe, you can really tell the difference, and Gary at the superbike shop said he will be making a head pipe sometime to go with the W/B pipe.
