i put on a qwik silver II and Im putting my stock carb back on, i lost 4 mph and it sticks, my bike felt way better with the stock carb and reliable. I have heard this same story from someone else also, stick with your stock carb and massage it, you will be better off and 400.00 richer!

You need to get one that works or put it on right my bike is faster it does not stick and I have alot more torque. are you using twist or thumb. I am using thumb with suzuki thumb throttle. The only other person who said he had a problem with sticking was using a twist and did not have the twist with the two cables that will be coming with the production unit. So I think this was probly the best mod on my bike and I am waiting for prodution so I can get 2 more for my other preds.

Any carb is going to take some time to get it adjusted just right. Still, after seeing the dyno graphs on another member's machine before and after the Edelbrock carb, I decided to wait.

76 with stock and 82 with ? and that is 6 mph. And I was doing 76 before the edelbrock and now I have not checked but I will bet it is better than 80.

Do you have twist or thumb?

I did 76 on dry lake bed with dyno jet stage one and w/b pipe that was it.
I now have stage three jetting with 4 disc added to pipe and moded air box and the edelbrock walks on that bike and I belive it is at 15 I dont know if that is from open or close but I will check. My only thing with the edelbrock is it to getting use to having the front come up that easy but now I can control it with the throttle. I still have not been anywhere iI can open it up to see how fast now but it is faster no doubt. and I still have 14th sprocket on both

As for the yzf it should spank everyone off the line and for about 100ft or so it is lighter and quicker reving it is after the 100ft the pred kills it.

There is still a ton of testing going on locally. The main carb of choice is the Keihin. As my old saying goes, maybe wait a bit till things are all ironed out. It's cheaper that way. :D

The carb is only able to do so much but correct me if i am wrong isnt the rev limiter going to keep you from going alot faster. the carb makes allittle diff because you can get more momentum and there for maybe allittle more top speed bouncing of the rev limiter, But where it should make the big diff is getting to top speed and mine does a good job at that.
