I got my quad over to Edelbrock today. They showed me the carb and twist throttle assembly they are putting on it. They are gonna be doing testing on it. I guess they'll have it done by next week. Should be pretty bitchin. I'm all excited:) They are supposed to be out in a couple months. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Thanks RNGMSTR for letting us know bout it.

The Edelbrock carb will be available in two kits. The twist throttle and the thumb throttle.

Does the thumb replace the existing or is it a new one. I need the thumb...the woods are way too nuts here for a twist.

Hmm... is the tether necessary? I've thought of it but the nitrous switch idea seems the best.

Hey Jsyi
The NOS kicks butt! I only have a 25hp hit right now though. My system is totally hidden and in my airbox. It really surprises the guys on modified Banshees. I'm on my second 580 kit and waiting for it to get put back together. My first one cracked the sleeve after one day of riding.

When are you getting your preddy back from edelbrock. Im dying to get a pumper on this thing. I think that will vastly improve bottom end torque. I saw the graph on rath's website and I gotta have one.....NOW!!!

Okay I got my dyno results back from Edelbrock today. The dyno results they got were based on using the stock carb. They tested two Preds..mine and another. The other they tested had a drop in K&N and Pure Polaris silencer with stock airbox and it made 38hp vs mine with the stock airbox and stock filter, HMF silencer, 167.5/50 jetting made still a little more than the other one however when they removed the airbox and used the K&N clamp on they found it made 3 more horsepower over the drop in K&N. However they found that the drop in K&N with airbox makes more torque but not more horsepower and the clamp on K&N makes more horsepower but not more torque. They told me that the jetting on my quad was spot on and it was another factor to why it made more horsepower than the other. They will be dynoing it on Tuesday or so with the Edelbrock carbs to find out what improvement that makes. I'll let you guys know some more then. Oh and just so you guys know I've never messed around with my needle clip or air screw. So maybe its the elevation here that makes it spot on without having to do those two things that a lot of people seem to be doing.

167.5 seems kinda high for just a slip on silencer with stock filter and airbox, do you mean 157.5?? what elevation are you at?? do you get any popping in the top end???
