Well after the work of adding the wheelie bar my times didn't really improve like I was hoping. My best time last night was a 5.633 out of 5 runs it ran 3 5.686 and that dosen't beat last weeks best time of a 5.593 without a bar and it was running cosistant 6.71s. I think my prob now is that I'm spinning to much off the line. My question is to anyone that is running drags what kinda times are you guys or gals turning.

Right now i have very little mods on my predator,all i have is a jardine slip on and a k&n filter,i also have the honda hubs from hotseat and itp 8in wheels with 4-snows on them,right now i consistantly run in th high 5's,at my dragstrip.

dragracer are you straping down the rear suspenion or doing anything to the suspension? And did you ever run with the stock tires and if so how much difference did the 4 Snows make on the launch and ets.

What does strapping down the rear do? Wouldnt you guys be bottoming out? Where do you guys ride at?

jsyi strapping the rear down gets you better traction. The reason the pred doesnt accellerate as fast as it should is because anti-squat. It doesnt allow the weight to be transferred to the rear so it has no weight and it searches for traction. Hope this helps.

Straping the back down is excatly what it sounds like you take a tie down strap (perferably a rachet style) and attach one end to your grab bar and one end to the swingarm and rachet it down to lower the rear end I just posted some pics of mine in full drag mode with the exception of the wheelie bar on my profile take a look this thing looks mean setting that low off the ground.

how do you drop the front down or dose it just come down when u strap the back down ????????????

no it dont strap my back down i just let the pressure off of the back shock,bye lifting it up with a jack and the i just lossen the shock and lowered it i done the same with the front end,yes i ran with my stock tires and i seemed to spin alot coming off of the line,i put the 4-snows on and it definatly hooks up 10 times better that way,they are the only tires to drag race with.

you can lower the from just like you do the back by twisting the shock up thats the way i have mine lowered and it works great and it its rather easy to do just get the pressure off of the shocks and you can do the from by hand you will have to peck the back loose but then when you get it loose you can loosen it by hand to.

dragracer85 I used to drag race cars but got out of it a few years back. I've just recently got into organized ATV drags since I shattered my collarbone and the doc advised me to never go back to MX racing. Also I played around with Predator yesterday some and without the wheelie bar on and just the dropped suspension it leaves with the front tires about 1' high and then just hauls ass. Thatis leaving at just a little below 3/4 throttle not a rev limiter launch but I think that could be some of my prob with wheel spin though. So I'm gonna leave the bar off this weekend and see what happens. I swear if I don't see a 5.30 soon I'm gonna get upset. I'm about to get this motor real drunk on some good old fashion alcohol and let her run.

if i was you i wouldnt run it on alky yet,i run 110 octane in my predator it it runs great,dont know if you have heard about the 60occ bigbore kit that hot seat is coming out with but i called them yesterday and they said it will e done in two weeks but they coudlnt give me a price on it yet but they said it is gonna ripp,that is what im waitign for i want to makie mine a 600 and put nitrous on it then i think i will be really pleased.
