$301.32 at my dealer. I got the extended warranty and have to pay only $25 bucks. Not a bad deal. Now, if only something else major will break so I can get my moneys worth out of the deal.
put the front of the quad on a jack stand and grab the top and bottom of the tire. if there is play or slop in it when you wiggle it, you have bad ball joints.
I just checked mine... it's tight on the right and the microscopicly slight movement on the left is the wheel bearing, because I see nothing moving on the balljoints at all when I wiggle the wheel. Phew.
The ball joint boots were all becoming deformed, letting in the elements. My steering was getting real tight. The ball joints werent loose, but bogged down with mud.
My TLD should be back from the dealer tomorrow... 4 new balljoints.. had the tie rods done a month back. I still like the bike though, wouldn't trade for anything.
