I've read all the threads about rerouting the 2 vent lines the only question I have is are do these lines just let out the excess gases or do they drain extra gas because when I rerouted them they go up before down and I just want to make sure that's all right and they don't fill with gas or something. Thanks Jim

No gas should ever exit these 2 lines nor any gasses or liquids for that matter. They are there so as to sense the atmospheric pressure or the air outside of your quad. The full explanation is quite lengthy but the long and short of it is, it helps to control the operation of the jet needle and slide underneath the diaphram inside of your carb. The reason that hoses are connected to the carb is to keep the crud and water out of the carb. Hope this helps.
