Does anyone else have a broken front clip where it connects to gas tank lost the whole clip riding the other day snapped off plastic where the screws go.I called dealer but they did not tell me anything that i did not already know.Have to replace front plastic.But it does not rattle or move still have other side attached.

I have one broken off. My wife flipped the bike over backward coming off the top of a dune, and it landed on the fender, bent the fender brace and broke the clip off that side. I have tried epoxy but that didn't work. I have an idea to use a shoulder bolt, a couple of washers, and a rubber grommet to fix it, but it really doesnt rattle around too much yet so I haven't done it. It sure isnt worth paying the 160 or so for new plastic, especially if you have ever considered either cutting the front fenders down (less weight to rattle it around) or buying aftermarket stuff, like carbon fiber that I have heard rumors about.

I wouldlike the carbon fiber when it comes out i think i will wait and see it really does not rattle too much (yet). So i will wait and see thanks.

ya when i fliped i broke mine in the front on the right side everything oon the right side that was broken the clips that clip on to the gas tank i just took some duck tape cut it small taped it up and just wipe alittle glue around the plastic part then i also have the front part broken off the one thats connect to the bar just did the same .... it works good for me and my plastics down raddle anymore.

yea, my girlfriend broke both the clips on mine when she flipped in practice, she used my pred when her honda messed up so she raced my pred. but its still got the rest of the clips there

I've broken a side off on mine. I tried to JB weld it back on..lasted for a while, but was out riding and noticed the plastic shifted a bit, looked and it was gone..so who knows.

Mine broke too, dealer replaced it.

So your dealer replaced your whole front fender?

Guy's, because it's polyethelene you'll have trouble finding any glue to fix it.I had mine plastic welded.

hey Geoff this may sound a little dumb but what is plastic welding and how is this done because both of my clips broke off and my bike has never been flipped or rolled.

Take it to a shop that repairs plastic car bumpers

See i JB welded mine..held for a while, then broke..i'd take to get fixed but when it broke i didnt KNOW it broke till after i got home..so who knows where it is! LOL

For your info. Harbor Freight had those plastic welding kits for sale, not sure how they work. I am planning on geting one next time I am in their store.

Well im now without BOTh of my plastic clips. Had a little incident today...bike is ok..both the front and rear plastick bent down a bit, and that clip broke off. So now both my clips are busted..FFS! I highly doubt the dealer would fix this..i mean i did flip it on its side, but still..yould think they wouldnt be so brittle.

Ya same here both mine have broke off. Also my back plastic is cracking by the bolt that holds it to the frame. I think polaris should replace them.
