I have the WB slip on exhaust, K&N slip on filter, and stage 3 jet kit in my predator. I decided to try some extra discs for the WB pipe and I believe it made a bit of a difference. For one thing, with the 6 added discs, it seems a little louder. Performance wise, it did not decrease any, I think it runs better. I sure notice the rev limiter at the top end a lot. I think that's about all it can be. I have heard of some people on here having jetting problems and it popping on the top end. Mine i believe is from the rev limiter. It won't rev any higher and just sits there at that RPM. Has anyone tried the 4 discs rather than 6 extras? Just wondering what your opinions was. BTW, you can use the stock screws with up to 6 extra discs, I bought new screws and didn't even use them. It's worth the money though, it doesn't hurt anything at all, if not improve it. I know on gravel roads, up to 4th, it's about all I can do to shift before I hit the rev limiter. Any other opinions? Thanks

I run the turn-down end and no discs. The thing is loud and screams. I wouldn't have anything else right now.

When you added the extra discs, you leaned it out and that's what the hesitation was. I would imagine that raising your needle one notch would have cured it, but I would have also gone up one jet size too.

Hey Rob, do you think I need to change my needle setting? I am running around 600 ft above elevation with the 180 main jet in. Mine pops at the top in, but no hesitation at all. I don't have a larger jet to put in it. I think mine is bouncing on the rev limiter, because it doesn't hesitate any at all. Thanks

Give it a try. Move the clip on the needle down one notch... I believe that will raise the needle and give you more fuel. Then go ride. If it sputters at part-throttle, it's too rich and you should put the needle back where it was.

Just a small note to everyone adding the slip-on pipes. Be sure to slap some anti-seize on the 6 muffler screws to prevent them from welding themselves. For racers its a must. Personally I use Loctite anti-seize and mix it with penetrating oil until it gets slurry/slushy. I use it on everything and it works great.

I almost forgot to mention that its best to use nickle based anti-seize, not copper. Its higher temp.

gmoney, have you jetted your quad? reason i ask is, i have the drop in K&N and white brothers slip on and have not rejetted, and it runs great. what i wanna know is, if i buy the turn down end cap and run it, is the jeeting going to stay the same? did yours? a friend of mine with a TLD rejetted his and now i beat him by two quad lengths everytime, before, it was dead even! i want to avoid jetting if i can!

SHAKIN, FOR WHATS IT'S WORTH WITH YOUR MODS I'VE HEARD YOU DO AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO RE-JET. HOWEVER I'D RATHER RUN ON THE SIDE OF RUNNING RICH RATHER THAN TOO LEAN. I RAN MINE AFTER MODS A LITTLE BEFORE RE-JETTING AND A LOT AFTER AND I LIKE THE PERFORMANCE OF AFTER BETTER.

Hey mdepdawg, you got about 4 disks you want o get rid of, I'm in the need for 12 total and dont see spending $35 on 12 disks when all I need is 4 more.
