Okay, Polaris has finally posted the actual 2004 information on the Predator. There are virtually no changes:

- Rear wheels are now 9" instead of 10"
- It says "now accepts common wheel sizes" so that could mean the rear hubs are now 4/110 like Honda, or it could be some other measurement.
- Dry weight is 412 lbs, down 3 lbs. Sounds to me like this new swingarm people have been talking about is not for real.
- Price is up $100 to $6099

That's it!

Forgot to add that the regular silver (gray) Predator now has a black seat cover (I like it!) and the Troy Lee edition is back with different graphics, and the reddish-orange seatcover that we all have on our 2003 Predators.

Did you see the picture of the Dune Package 2004 Predator? It's solid Black, looks really cool, but I think is a mistake picture because there are no graphics on it at all. Look through the gallery of the 500.

The "dune package" photo is the optional carbon-fiber-look plasics that you can buy from the dealer (available now in fact).

Are the back rims upside down? In the photo in the gallery, the hubs on the predator with the black seat, they seem to stick out more then the 2003.I prefer the red seat.

I noticed the rear wheels too, I think since they went to 9" with different hubs they probably changed the offset also. The wheels dont look as deep to me, as if the axle is wider but the wheels in the same place.

There are more changes than that. They are welding the top motor mount instead of a bolt on to stop the stressing and cracking of the frames that some are experiencing. They also are going with beefier ball joints with harder internal components. The tierods are a bigger diameter which means the 2003 quads can't use the new ball joints unless you go with the increased diameter steering components of the 2004 quads. There are a few other changes, but small. So you are right, they are close to the same as the 2003's.

They state that the silver plastic is new too. It looked to me to be a little bit darker, unless that's just the picture, but says 'new' buy the silver plastic.

I also saw pure polaris radiator scoops but they arent on their web site today. I wonder where they went. If I can get my hands on 04 Troy Lee then I am definatly getting it.

I'm going to be selling my Troy Lee Plastic on my 03. I'm going to get the carbon fiber with the 03 Troy Lee graphics package and keeping the red/black seat.

Hey ProXPred!!!
You can actually buy just the 2004 Troy Lee Decals by themselves. How do you place an order for that is it right on the polarisindustries website? Do you know of a price? I just bought 2003 Troy Lee plastic from someone and I think that the graphics on the 04 are sweet azz!! Thanx in advance for the info man, and I appreciate it!!!

I'm going to be getting the 03 decales for the carbon fiber looking plastic. I'm sure you can order the 04 decales also, but you might have to go through your dealer or call Pure Polaris to get the 04's. I just like the red better than the orange. I know partsland lists two different graphics and two different plastics colors for the 03. I'm sure when they update it will have the same for the 04's.
