Ill be trying mine out this next week hopefully if My beadlocks come next we3k. I got 18inch bealock and 18 in turf tamers to try...You will lose some ground clearance but I prefer the 18 inch tire myself.....
Hey QuadJunkies, did you drop your wheel size also? If so, what size did you go to. If not, how did losing all that sidewall do on the mx track. I will be going down to an 18"tire but will be going to an 8" wheel. Should I do that or not?
I have a 18 x11 8 inch rim on beadlocks..... Alot of us out here use nothing BUT 18inchers on a 8 inch rim.Depending on your track conditions in your area will decide your needs..I treid these out on my 400ex at the flattrack this wk end and I like them WAY better than my 20inchers...But I dont do MX much .The Predator will do alot of both MX and flattrack. look at most of your top notch mx quads...they run an 18 inch tire on 8 inch rims 95% run beadlocks too...im running 18 inch mxrs on 8x8 dual beadlock hipers with integrated hubs...great setup...u save a lot of rotating mass....the hub is now integrated therefore no extra weight of a solid center on the rim and a heavy stock hub, the hub has splines which is another weight saving feature not a solid piece, and the rims are carbon fiber saving me a few there too....great setup the mxrs are fast wearing i might grab a set of grooved turfs after the mxrs **** the bed...i always liked turfs and i felt like trying the mxrs...they hook awsome but you lose so much because of the excessive wear
