Good Day,

I was wondering if anybody that had gone to a 13 tooth front sprocket shortened thier chain by 1 link to get it tight? I am getting a little chain rattle when I let off the gas.

I love the way it has improved the rideablity in the mountains of Colorado. It has become a trail beast to beat!

Hey Tazco I have a 13 front and didn't have to shorten the chain. There was still plenty of adjustment left to make the tension correct after I installed the 13. I assume you ajusted the chain tension when you added the front 13 sprocket.

I didn't have to take out a link. It's a little harder to get at the zerk to grease the carrier, but that's it. There's still a lot more adjustment left. i did notice that with the 13 tooth, the chain doesn't ride on the roller nearly as much.

Thanks for the input. I did notice that the zerk was a little of a bear to get too.
