issue with pred swing arm

hi all

i have a 2007 troy lee pred . a few weeks ago i noticed that rear left wheel as you look at it from the rear was closer to the nerf bar by approx 10mm . i have fitted new axle bearings and adjusted the according to the manual which made no difference .

so i am thinking swing arm bearings so i checked for play and there was no play . still not satisfied i thought id slacken the nut on the swing arm which was super tight and im 20 stone so it was tight. i managed to slacken it an gave the axle a tug on the rear left which did make the axle move backwards and the chain tightened up . i may be just looking for confirmation here that the bearing races on the swing must be worn .

what do you guys reckon has anyone else come across this problem .

yes i have just yesterday i found that my swing arm i just installed was not lined up correctly with the front sprocket. there was play just as you described so i replaced the swing arm pivot bushings with some others and it was fixed. my guess would be those long metal spacer/bushings at the front of the swing arm are worn.
