05 Predator 500 Carb Blowback?

Ok, so I bought a used Predator 500 about a month ago knowing it needed some work. First and foremost I ordered some new internals for the carb, removed it, cleaned it and put it back on. Still wouldn't start. So, I replaced the Fuel Pump and Petcock. I took it to a local shop and apparently the timing was way off. That was corrected perfectly. But because the timing was off so bad, the Starter Clutch went bad. Replaced that. I get a call saying the quad now starts and runs! Yay. However, it runs only with full choke and when I turn choke off, the moment I give it gas, it shuts off.

This is my question: When I take it back to the shop to have the valves adjusted to factory spec, will that stop the fuel blowback from the carb? And hopefully make it run consistently?
