I have a stock Predator 50 for my 5 year old boy. We went to the local track and he got smoked by the other kids. He seems interested in racing. Does anyone have any suggestions on getting a higher top speed and/or power out of the 2006 Predator 50?

Do you have all the speed limiters removed?

Do not buy a pipe from East Side Motorsport. I bought a MX pipe that does not fit correctly and the pipe folded in 1/2 as soon as it got hot! It did this witin the first hour of riding. I also bought a gusset kit from him that was junk!

Do yourself a favor, buy from Billy Holt at WRH Racing. I wanted to buy my pipe from Billy but he was out of pipes for the 50 and I needed one in a hurry and ES Motorsports was the only one that had one. I learned my lesson.

I put a front sprocket off of a 90 on my sons 50.I also drilled out the exhaust restricter an put a new CDI box on.Cheap speed, for now.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. Are the 90 and 50 sprockets interchangable? Is the exhaust restricter at the manifold? I'm new to mods. I took off the pipe and I noticed it restricted at the manifold. It sounds logical that this would be what you're talking about.
Thanks for the help...

there is the throttle screw ( not to sound rude) on the right side of the handlebars on the outside. the farther out it is screwed the faster it will go. also there is a rev limiter on the cdi box, that is located under the left front fender. once you locate it there will be 2 small screws on it, back those out a little, remove the piece of metal and tighten those screws back up. put the cdi back into its holder and off you go. it should now go about 15-18 mph.

Check with Billy Holt about a new cdi box.
