Default Picture of my Pod Lighted, Gauges, switches, etc.

Pulled apart my pod again, I decided to put a tube around my oil pressure line, to give it more protection...so I warmed the machine up and took some pics of the gauges so you can see what it looks like, thats RPM's up on the Speedo...the Oil Pressure was running at 35 psi and the Water Temp at 180 degrees, didn't take it out and ride it, just warmed it up in the garage:

It looks good Dave. I am still waiting on my electric temp. gauge to get here. Maybe, it will be here the first of next week!

BG, they're pretty good at shipping, so I'm sure you'll have it this week.

thanks for the comments...I need to figure out what to do with the Voltage Gauge, I may just stick it in one of the side panels...

Looks great, Elkbow!

Hey I don't remember if I asked you this, but what did those guages set you back? I just looked up the Phantom II guages on the Summit Racing website and the Oil Pressure guage is $200 and the Water Temp guage is $130. Ouch, $330 for both.

As an alternative, I checked out another favorite guage maker, SPA Technique (www.spatechnique.com) and I can get one of their 2-in-1 digital guages, Oil Pressure and Water Temp, for $286. The pod might not look as balanced, but it'd leave more "real estate" for something else down the road. I used to have three of their guages in one of my previous trucks and always liked 'em.

Thanks BA...

Rob,
The Mechanical 3 gauge set cost me $39, I've heard of others getting them for $29.95 at O'Reillys Auto Parts. Of the 3 gauges, I only used the Oil Pressure Gauge and then I ordered the Electrical Water Temp gauge straight from Equus so that I could hook up in the thermostat housing...the sensor is smaller and will fit the thermostat housing....So I have a Voltage Gauge and Mechanical Water Temp Gauge sitting here.

That's right, I remember now you said in another thread you got 'em from Equus. I just checked and they have those two, in black faces, for $15 and $20 each, so I will likely order 'em up. I kinda like the black ones better from seeing them on the site. I dunno; that could change before I order.

Thanks!!

okay, you mean the ones with the black background, right? I looked at them....I painted the rings on the white background gauges, so they would match the pod, although I did glossy and not matte...

check ebay, as there are alot of the gauges on there if you have an account...only so many of the 1.5" gauges, but they come and go
