Needle clip position

Not too sure so I thought I'd ask you guys, but when moving the clip on the AF needle, which direction makes it leaner and which direction makes it richer?

'08 Outlaw 450 MXR
-UNI vent filter and clamp-on w/ Outerwears
-JD jet kit
-F2racing FastCap
-Spark arrester removed
-Odi Oury grips
-TMD aluminum oil sight plug
-Mino water pump
-PermaCool oil cooler

'07 Predator 500 LE (resto in progress)
- Twin Air clamp-on, NC modded carb, HMF Sport slipon, 558 BB kit, TrailTech X bars, Spider M1 grips, deep offset rear rims, Dura Blue front wheel spacers, and an assload of powdercoating

Moving the clip down will raise the needle which will make it richer and moving the clip up will lower the needle and make it leaner.
